A photo thread with some of the strangest animals I’ve ever seen. The particular creature is a Star-nosed Mole.

This new song by Grizzly Bear is amazing. I was never able to get into their first album, “Yellow House” that much. I liked it, but it wasn’t one of my favorites of 2006. This song is amazing though.

This artist is getting a ton of press lately. She isn’t signed to a label and doesn’t even have an album yet. I wish I would have seen her show at SXSW. She sounds like a mix between Cat Power and Diane Cluck. The video is terrible quality, but I’m definitely impressed. Here’s her myspace profile.

I volunteered this past weekend at Clean Sweep 2008, which is a big event in Austin where groups all around the city pick up litter along roads, in parks, etc. I thought it was a lot of fun. In my area I think 10 people signed up, and about 6 showed up. I think in about 2-3 hours of work we filled 8-10 huge trash bags.

Afterwards there was a party at waterloo park, where the photo above was taken. It was pretty much the perfect spring day.

This is kind of old news, but I noticed I never posted about it here. I have a new food specific blog called WTFood. I am by no means a good chef, but I try to be and I cook a lot. My obsession currently is with Indian food. I just can’t get enough of it.
